1. Definitions and Parties
Organizer — World Economic Group (Spain), Tax ID (NIE): Z2554014F, registered address: Av. Icària, 145, 08005 Barcelona, Spain.
Secretariat — WEJ Global Secretariat (Europe), communications: awards@world-economic.com.
Participant — an individual, sole proprietor, or legal entity applying to the WEJ Awards 2025. Basic participation (LIGHT) is free of charge. Optional promotion services are available via media packages STANDARD and VIP.
2. Subject and Acceptance
2.1. This Offer governs participation in the WEJ Awards 2025 and the provision of additional media services within the optional STANDARD/VIP packages.
2.2. Acceptance:
— for the LIGHT package: submission of the online application;
— for STANDARD/VIP: payment of the issued invoice.
2.3. If the Participant disagrees with the terms, they should refrain from submitting the application (LIGHT) or from paying the invoice (STANDARD/VIP).
3. Application and Communications
3.1. Applications are submitted online via the Journal’s website: APPLICATION FORM, with a short project description, a presentation (5–12 slides), and a link to the website/materials.
3.2. Rules, nominations and packages are published in the Awards Regulations and Appendices (incl. Appendix 1 — Nominations; Appendix 2 — Participation Packages).
3.3. Official correspondence is handled by the Secretariat: awards@world-economic.com.
4. Participation Packages & Payment
4.1. LIGHT (Free) — participation, application review, electronic certificates for achieved statuses (Nominee / Finalist / Winner), online mentions on WEJ platforms, inclusion in the WEJ analytical database.
4.2. STANDARD and VIP — optional promotion-focused media packages. Pricing and scope are described in Appendix 2. Payment is made against the Organizer’s individual invoice (payments in certain jurisdictions may be processed via an authorized partner/payment agent on behalf of the Organizer, as indicated in the invoice).
4.3. Currencies: EUR / USD. Conversion at the rate on the invoice date. Bank fees are borne by the payer.
4.4. Suggested payment reference: “Payment for STANDARD/VIP media package under WEJ Awards 2025, Application № [APP_ID]”.
5. Statuses and Services
5.1. The assignment of statuses Nominee / Finalist / Winner is made in accordance with the Awards Regulations and is independent of the purchase of a media package.
5.2. Under the LIGHT package, Participants receive: application review, electronic certificates (by achieved status), online mentions on WEJ platforms, and inclusion in the WEJ analytical database.
5.3. STANDARD/VIP provide extended media services: publications in the digital and print editions of World Economic Journal, international PR support, and branded WEJ Awards trophies for Finalists and Winners (as per Appendix 2). Printed diplomas are not issued; certificates are electronic.
5.4. Editorial materials are prepared in accordance with WEJ journalistic standards; approval is performed within the package terms.
6. Campaign Timeline and Postponements
6.1. 2025 Timeline: July — application launch; July–October — acceptance & review; September–October — evaluation (50% WEJ/WOD experts, 50% AI SustainaNet AITE); October — publication of Finalists and Winners; November–December — ceremonies.
6.2. Deadlines may be reasonably postponed due to objective reasons (force majeure, regulatory/sanctions restrictions, technical works) with notice to Participants.
7. Refunds and Cancellations
7.1. Payments for STANDARD/VIP media packages are non-refundable after services have commenced (materials screening/editorial preparation/publication processes).
7.2. If participation is refused due to compliance risks before service commencement — a 100% refund of the paid amount is made.
8. Materials, License, Confidentiality
8.1. The Participant grants the Organizer a non-exclusive license to use logos, trademarks, texts, and materials for the purposes of the Awards, publications, and PR.
8.2. The Participant guarantees lawful rights to the materials provided and confirms that no third-party rights are infringed.
8.3. Confidential information is marked “Confidential” and will not be published without the Participant’s consent.
8.4. Personal data is processed solely to execute this Offer and for communications with the Participant, in accordance with applicable laws and international practice. See the site’s Privacy Policy for details.
8.5. GDPR Compliance: Personal data is processed under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Participants have the right to access, rectify, erase, and restrict processing of their personal data, as well as the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
9. Compliance: KYC/AML, Anti-Corruption
9.1. The Participant confirms the lawful origin of funds.
9.2. Both Parties comply with KYC/AML, anti-corruption, and export control requirements; the Organizer may request documentation and refuse participation upon risk detection.
10. Liability and Limitations
10.1. The Parties are liable only for proven direct damages.
10.2. The Organizer is not liable for indirect losses/lost profits or for actions of third parties (including banks/payment providers/partner platforms).
10.3. Jury and editorial decisions are independent and final, except for technical errors.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
11.1. This Offer is governed by the law of Spain.
11.2. Disputes are resolved through negotiations; if unresolved — by the competent court at the Organizer’s registration location (Barcelona, Spain).
11.3. For certain jurisdictions, primary accounting and receipt of payments may be processed via authorized partners/payment agents on behalf of the Organizer.
12. Final Provisions
12.1. This Offer is published on this page. Updates take effect upon publication of a new version.
12.2. Acceptance is effected by submitting the application (LIGHT) or by paying the invoice (STANDARD/VIP).
12.3. Payment details are not publicly posted and are provided only in the individual invoice.
